The Amp app has been deprecated. My short, but valuable journey with AMP as "DJ Kazerific" has come to an end on 31-OCT-2023 and this post is my final farewell. I diligently hosted a total of nine shows once a week for my AMP shows, "Kazerific," which focused on my personal music inspirations and the "All Rounders at SM Entertainment" show, which focused on highlighting the music of SM artists. I had an incredible journey on this app, which forced me into a commitment whether or not I had listeners or up to six listeners, which is my personal high amount on a show (not including myself because that is my husband's favorite question). I wanted to write about my experience even though the shows looked easy to create every week, but it was not easy. https://www.onamp.com/ no longer exists and is seemingly wiped off the internet. Welcome to the Kazerific radio show where you can listen to DJ Kazerific live on AMP and only until the end of this month as AMP has announced the closure of its service by the end of this month.
There was an announcement last week that AMP is closing down by 31-OCT-2023.

I thought this song was different from the usual TXT songs. I like how it is a bit slow paced and enjoyable to wake up to on a Sunday morning / afternoon.
IVE - Baddie
The public has mixed-feelings regarding IVE's newest album release as they do not know what IVE's original sound is since with every new comeback, they have been release songs with different styles. I wasn't a big fan of the pre-released music, but this song, Baddie, is decent.
Justin Bieber - Off My Face
Jinho from Pentagon covered this song on his song covers series Magazine Ho on the Pentagon Youtube channel. I think my forever favorite cover remains to be Enhypen's Heesung's version as I think Jinho's version has some places where the music felt rushed.

Enhypen - Given-Taken
I'm starting to promote Enhypen with a lot of songs because if you are in the New York/New Jersey area, Enhypen has their Enhypen World Tour "Fate" concert in the USA on the 18th and 19th of October at the Prudential Center. This is a big improvement from their last venue in the area, Radio City Music Hall, although the sound acoustics in the Radio City Music Hall was beyond amazing.
Zac Efron, Zendaya - Rewrite the Stars
On the KBS2 music talk show, "The Seasons - AKMU's Last Goodbye," AKMU's Suhyun and Exo's D.O., covered this song, shocking the listeners with their awesome duet. Therefore, I believe there is a renewed interest in this song overall because of it.
Enhypen - Poloroid Love
This might be my favorite Enhypen song among so many good Enhypen songs. It's easy to listen to, easy to follow and easy to sing along.
Faye Wong - "夢中人" (Meng Zhong Ren) - (The person of my dreams)
This is a Cantonese cover of The Cranberries' song, "Dreams." Dare I say that, for me, this song cover surpasses the original song. I really liked how Faye Wong put in her wild and unrestrained style into it.
This song was featured in a Hong Kong drama The drama has the same title name and unfortunately, I referenced the wrong drama during my show, but this drama is from 1986 starring Chow Yun Fat and Cher Young. It is still about reincarnation and all that, but a different story than what I told on air.
BTS - No More Dream
A few days ago, I borrowed the "Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS" book from the library and started reading about BTS's life. It's the first official book release on BTS and it also celebrates the 10th anniversary of the group who debut in 2013.
I first came across this song in the reality competition survival show, "Produce X 101" where contestant Kim Hyun Bin hard carried the performance and tried to lead the team behind the scenes. Rumor has it that he has joined Cube entertainment and may be in their debut line up. I'm happy and I'm sad because Cube Entertainment isn't doing well and continues to not do well with five out of the nine members leaving Cube Entertainment, though I expect Pentagon to still promote as a group.
As for the book, I read the first two chapters, which each chapter almost 50-70 pages long and even though I am not a huge BTS fan, I come to appreciate all their efforts and enjoyed reading about their struggles for success. I am the type of person who will root for the underdog. While I don't understand Korean rap music in general, I still come to appreciate the rap deliveries and flow performed by K-pop artists in general. It was true that K-pop music organically grown to include rap and hip-hop music into mainstream music as Korean society is a comparably a reserved society, which is growing to become more adapting and open-minded to the thoughts and customs of the western world. I totally understand as I grew up with eastern society influence, but today's world is so different than my childhood where things that were tolerated are no longer tolerated in today's world.
BoyNextDoor - One and Only
BoyNextDoor is a boy group under KOZ entertainment, Zico's label. I meant to introduce this song at some point as it was a nice and chipper song. Kaz entertainment is operating under the Hybe Corporation.
BTS - Just One Day
As I am reading about the beginning stage of BTS's story, I come to appreciate this song, "Just One Day" which was a follow up song on the same album, Skool Luv Affair, to their famous "Boy in Luv" song.
I will probably play more BTS songs as I continue reading this book and I am thinking to write a review about it.
Secret - Madonna
Secret is celebrating their 14th year anniversary (and member Hyo Seung's birthday). I accidentally picked the Japanese version of the song to play on AMP, but it is just as good. The group, Secret, has disbanded since 2018, which is very unfortunate that their ex-agency mismanaged them. I can listen to Secret songs any time, even 14th years later.
