My Two-Month Experience using Amazon's AMP

The Amp app has been deprecated. My short, but valuable journey with AMP as "DJ Kazerific" has come to an end on 31-OCT-2023 and this post is my final farewell. I diligently hosted a total of nine shows once a week for my AMP shows, "Kazerific," which focused on my personal music inspirations and the "All Rounders at SM Entertainment" show, which focused on highlighting the music of SM artists. I had an incredible journey on this app, which forced me into a commitment whether or not I had listeners or up to six listeners, which is my personal high amount on a show (not including myself because that is my husband's favorite question). I wanted to write about my experience even though the shows looked easy to create every week, but it was not easy. https://www.onamp.com/ no longer exists and is seemingly wiped off the internet. AMP is owned by Amazon.com, Inc. and was launched in March 2022 to allow creators to host their own talk or music show. Listen...

Kazerific Show #2

Tune in to listen to this week's inspiration of K-pop, pop, and beyond.

You can also catch my replay show for one week on AMP by checking my profile or check out the replay section.

I learned a big lesson today as there were no lasting listeners on the show. To avoid my show not being recorded, I will ensure that at least one account is logged in so that I can continue my show for the hour. I hope to get more listeners next time. Today's show is mostly me talking and waiting for listeners so it was mostly a talk show.

I'm thinking to do a special Labor Day show, which will be mostly unscripted on this blog for on AMP listeners only.

Here are some songs that I have played on the Kazerific show.

Barbie Dreams (From "Barbie") - Geek Music

Exo - Electric Kiss (Live)

Once again, I delved into episode 5 of NCT's first competition reality show, "NCT Universe: LASTART" where the trainees performed the Japanese song, "Electric Kiss" by Exo. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed with Sakuya's performance because I need him to be in the debut line and his movements weren't strong enough to match the power of this song. Jungmin is solidifying his position in the debut line up because we can clearly see big improvements in his performance. I think being robotic is his charm. He deserves to be an artist at SM Entertainment. At this point, who do I want in the debut line? Jungmin, Sakuya, Anderson, and...to be determined after next week's show as I want to be fair to the other contestants.

IVE - I AM

I love to karaoke song because the song is so high pitched. I saw on Instagram that IVE performed "I AM" live in the "KRAZY K-POP SUPER CONCERT" in New York. This proves my thoughts that this song is really hard to sing live because the entire song has high notes with them also dancing at the same time. It wasn't a perfect performance, but I think IVE did their best to give a great performance.

While the west coast get the "KCON LA 2023" concert show, the east coast has the "Krazy K-pop Super Concert" show. We take what we can get!

Aespa - Better Things

This song is still popular in my mind as it gives the summer vibe and I am really feeling summer with this song. Their performance MV also was released.

NCT Dream - Blue Wave

Last Saturday, 26-AUG-2023, the whole NCT group had their "NCT NATION: To The World" first ever live concert at the Incheon Munhak Stadium in Korea. Youtube videos have been posted everywhere (probably soon to be taken down?) and I really didn't like the camera angles as the cameras weren't necessarily pointing at who is singing and also was pointing at the ceiling at some point. Therefore, I am not sure if those who spent money to watch the Beyond Live was getting their money's worth.

Continuing on with the summer theme, I picked NCT Dream's Blue Wave.

TVXQ! - 왜 Keep Your Head Down

I'm trying to hype this song for next week where this song will be performed in NCT's first competition reality show, "NCT Universe: LASTART." I am most interested in hearing Daeyoung's talent as he is a trainee that has joined the competition in episode 4, yet we have not truly heard him sing yet, other than him trying to belt a small part of the song in front of one of the original singers of TVXQ!, Changmin, who guested in the show to guide the trainees in their practice of the song.

That concludes our show. I didn't play many songs this week, but I will continue in the future. Next week, I will use a theme to play duet songs.

All songs have been added to my ever growing playlist on Youtube:

Questions, Constructive Comments, and Constructive Feedback welcome.

I hope you enjoy my show so far. Of course, there will be a lot of room for improvement, but better things will come our way.

Have a Kazerific day! Thank you for your support.
